Get ready to build, code, and compete in our FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Robotics classes! Designed for elementary and middle schoolers, these classes offer an exciting introduction to robotics and programming. Using LEGO kits and guided by expert instructors, students will design and program robots to complete challenges and solve real-world problems.
Elementary and middle schoolers will explore the principles of mechanics, motion, and energy through fun, hands-on activities. Using interactive kits, students will design, build, and test their own machines, learning how gears, levers, and pulleys make our world work.
Explore the building blocks of life in our Biochemistry classes! Get hands-on with activities like extracting DNA from fruits, building 3D DNA models, and observing enzymes in action. You'll even dissect organisms to see biochemistry in the real world. Perfect for young scientists eager to dive into the fascinating world of molecules and life!
Young engineers will explore the science of flight and space exploration through exciting, hands-on projects. With the help of engaging kits, students will build and test their own rockets, gliders, and even mini satellites. Along the way, they'll discover the principles of aerodynamics, propulsion, and the forces that allow aircraft to soar and spacecraft to explore the cosmos.
In our freshman year, we joined our schools Robotics and Science Olympiad. This was our first true experience in competitive STEM. We soon realized that learning thesev skills at a younger age would have given us more oppurtunities and neccessary background knowledge in our respective fields.
We joined the efforts of our Robotics teams and Science Olympiad team to host the first STEM Fair at Styvesent High School. With a turn out of over 90%, we hosted 213 attendees and demonstrated our labs and mechanisms.
We began volunteering at a local community center to teach elementary and middle school children the foundations of FFL Robotics. During these weekly claases we built over 20 robots such as, a locking safe and fitness tracker.
We discovered a large demand for STEM classes in our local area. While most programs focus on purely academic tutoring, we want the focus towards classes that will expand on childrens hobbies and benefit them in the future.

This, of course, could not have been achieved without the endless support we got from our school, our teachers, and our parents.
